Philosophy

“I believe that all individuals can learn to live a rewarding, balanced, mindful, and healthy life.  They can have positive family and or work-based interactions and learn to make meaningful connections.  Together we can create opportunities to restore skills, learn, grow, play, and laugh.  We can assist individuals to pursue individual interests and develop the tools they need to nurture their minds, bodies, and souls. The best part…music and play can help to facilitate all that!”

Philosophy

“I’m fascinated by how our minds work. The ways we think, communicate, and behave overall are so unique. Sometimes we need help with expressing ourselves, understanding others, or building different habits- and that’s okay! My goal is to help clients in their journeys to become their best selves. Let’s work together through talk, craft, and play. “

Education and Training

I chose to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to help others. Since childhood, I have been intrigued by the workings of the mind and how our thoughts shape our lives. As I witnessed individuals coping with emotional and mental distress, I have always felt the desire to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to provide help where I can. I use cognitive behavior therapy approaches.

Experience

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Eastern University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Lancaster Bible College. I have worked as an adjunct professor at both of these institutions and have served as a local pastor for 25 years. I am completing a second master’s degree in mental health counseling at Liberty University. Additionally, I have completed the Mental Health Coach First Responders Training provided by the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and I am an Army veteran.

Philosophy

I enjoy helping someone break free from something in which they feel stuck or overcoming something they feel powerless against.
